Oh Gizmo: One of the best things about this modern age is its new way of combining things that we love so we can save money. One of these devices is the combination foosball and dining room table that is brought to us by Skitsch. It has a very simple, yet unique design that makes this a must-have for soccer lovers. When you’re not playing foosball with friends, you can take out the spinny guys and put on the tempered glass top to have a very specifically themed dining table.

If you’re not a big fan of foosball, then this probably on the top of your priority list. Although, those of you out there that just about cried from excitement that they could have this and have the excuse that it’s ... Read more »

Swissmiss: The Ola Table by Petter Danielson and Oscar Ternbom of AKKA is making my heart beat faster. A light-weight folding table, made of aluminium, that is easy to handle and beautiful. According to Minimalissimo it will be manufactured by MATERIA and will be launched at the Stockholm furniture fair in February.

This would be perfect in our studio, for when we need an extra desk or two when we have a lot of visitors. Brilliant. Beautiful. I want two.

Cool Tools: You simply place freshly washed greens in the bag, twist the top of the bag closed, make a fist around the twist and spin the bag vigorously a few times quickly. Water is automatically collected into a reservoir at the bottom of the bag and drains out from a channel running along one side. Works as well as any salad spinner I’ve ever used.

Both the packaging and the website have excellent illustrations to help you do it right the first time, but it’s kind of obvious once you see the bag and there are brief written guides and arrows printed on the bag itself. It’s so ridiculously simple that once you’ve done it, you’ll never forget how.

Perfect for travelers because it’s... Read more »

BornRich: A well-designed coffee machine is as much a consideration as the brewing performance when you are in the market for buying one. Sieger design has designed a new generation of coffee machine for Kaffee Partner with the "Ultima Duo.” The machine pleases with its aesthetic looks along with a touchscreen interface with different icons cups for an innovative yet minimalist interface. The use of black and materials such as glass and robust galvanized stainless steel give it an elegant yet hi-tech look. The Ultima Duo by designer Michael Winner has been awarded the "iF Product Design Award 2011” award. The machine has two grinding mills, processing two different types of beans and over 50 possible coffees for individual needs just at the touc... Read more »

JoshSpear: Loving Diane Eng’s Fortune Cookie Purse.  Like real fortune cookies, these purses are proudly made in the USA. No animals were harmed to make these purses! Made from recycled leather, each purse has a unique number on it so you can track its origin.

Some examples of origins below (more on the site).

Preconsumer scraps from a high-end designer furniture company After furniture patterns are cut out, this leather scrap is left over. These scraps were destined for the dumpster, but a friend at the company saved them for me.

Remnant leather from the garment district. This pelt had ink stains making it unsuitable for garments. I cut cookies from the clean areas on t... Read more »
