The world’s largest fast-food company today is partnering in an unusual
24-hour tie-in with the year-old, wildly popular FarmVille social-media
game and virtual world. Mickey D’s will sponsor the simulation game’s
first branded farm in this alternate world. The lure for the game’s
players: prizes. But the prizes aren’t things like coffee coupons or Big
Mac discounts. They’re virtual, too.
